Can't get enough of Oprah's visit to Dallas?
Oprah takes a turn at WFAA-TV anchor desk
11/02/2009
Tuesday's Oprah Winfrey Show will include more footage of Winfrey in North Texas – this time showing her anchoring the news on WFAA-TV (Channel 8).
The program will feature celebrities doing their first jobs. Before Winfrey was a talk show host, she was a newscaster in Nashville and Baltimore. Winfrey returned to her anchoring roots while in Dallas last month, reading the headlines on Channel 8's 5 p.m. newscast.
During her visit, she also taped segments for her talk show at the State Fair of Texas. Last week, the Oprah show aired the State Fair-themed episode, which showed Winfrey eating fried food, playing midway games and getting a special greeting from Big Tex.
Guests on Tuesday's show include country singer Martina McBride working at Dairy Queen, personal finance guru Suze Orman as a short-order cook and actress Kirstie Alley as a housekeeper.
Oprah airs at 4 p.m. on Channel 8.
